FREEHAND AT HOME

In the fall of 2001 I was working on a show called Freehand at Home. The idea was to present one’s sense of home. I had always wanted to make hooked or sewn rugs and when presented with this show I dove into experimenting with imagery that I had of a house from a dream. I was also about to travel to Montreal for a trade show for greenscreen® when 9/11 happened. This changed everything in the world and immediately for me, the trade show was cancelled and I went deeply into preparing for the show as a way of keeping faith in life and carrying on in spite of all the turmoil.
