SCREENS
Screens have held intrigue for me. When offered a show at The University of Judaism in the early '80s I opted to explore screens. Some of these were exhibited other places including Pacific Standard Time, at Craft in America. The translucent ones have been used not only as screens but also as window coverings and wall hangings. Some screens had rag weaving as the face but I also painted Mylar which allowed me to paint both sides and still have translucency in the unpainted areas. I sliced these paintings into strips and reassembled them on a fine cotton warp on the loom.
